The MW2 The beta ends this week on PlayStation consoles, but there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the latest Call of Duty playlists and content released on PS4 and PS5.
The good news is that a second, more accessible Modern Warfare 2 test period will be hosted a few days after the first ending.
And here is the exact date and time when the first PlayStation Access event for MW2 is scheduled to end in September.
When does the MW2 beta end this week?
Activision has confirmed that the MW2 beta will end on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. BST.
No plan changes have been shared by the COD development team, meaning this is the most up-to-date timeline we have. Last-minute changes are always possible, but it seems more likely that expansions could happen next week during the open beta.
This will be when everyone can begin playing in cross-play testing, starting Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. PT and ending Monday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
A post from Activision adds, “The second beta weekend is available on all console and PC platforms, and is scheduled to run from Thursday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. PT through Monday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Crossplay will be active, letting you party with friends and the greater community, no matter what hardware they’re playing on.
Returning to the current MW2 beta, those with a PlayStation console can download Modern Warfare 2 and enjoy the playlist currently on offer without having to pre-order the game.
This rule will remain in place when the next round of testing begins on September 22, two days before the open beta. Meanwhile, players on Xbox and PC platforms who pre-ordered the game can also register on the same date.
This month’s beta testing phase is just another step on the road to the full launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on October 28th. Next up will be the early access release of the new campaign, with Activision confirming that anyone who pre-orders a Digital Edition of MW2 will receive early access to the campaign in addition to a host of other previously announced rewards. This grants you up to a week to complete the single-player experience.
