super smash bros ultimate question

There is a lot of speculation about the next DLC fighter for the world-popular Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and unless something drastic happens, all signs point to the next character being last. Oddly enough, a popular online leaker for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate seems to have an idea of the origin of this fighter.

Nintendo leaker Samus Hunter has often been busy making statements on Nintendo Directs and sharing other insider information. As such, fans are often very attentive to see if the leaker has any details to share. In the case of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Samus Hunter seems to believe that the final fighter will come from outside the walls of Nintendo.

Samus Hunter thinks there is an 80% chance that the next and final DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be a third character. The insider believes all future Nintendo releases will have Spirit Battles, but the best Switch games have already been featured in Ultimate. New opportunities come from games and third-party partnerships. However, this only seems to be an educated guess and not inside information.

At one point, the Super Smash Bros. The series was a love letter to Nintendo, featuring characters, music, Easter eggs, and more from decades of Nintendo games. But now, thanks to the addition of Solid metal gear‘s Snake, Banjo and Kazooie, Sonic, Mega Man, street fighter characters, Pac Man, Castlevania characters, and much more, the game has become something more. As such, it would make sense for the final fighter to be a third-party hero.

There are a lot of fans who expect the last fighter to be the first. Specifically, the hope is that Waluigi will finally make his way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate via the final slot. The Mario character has been waiting for about two decades, and if this is indeed the last character for Ultimate, Waluigi’s last chance came and went if he missed the cut.

There’s a lot of pressure with the next DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai have confirmed that there will be no more fighter passes, so the game with the tagline “Everyone’s Here” will end soon enough. Sakurai himself has talked about retirement in the past, but it’s perhaps more likely that he ultimately decides to work full-time on other projects outside of Super Smash Bros., leaving the door open for others to take over the massively popular franchise. Regardless of the final fighter, it will be hard to ever go beyond the roster and depth of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch.
