The first one Mario party released over 20 years ago now, but the game remains one of Nintendo’s most popular releases – and that’s probably why 2021 Mario Party Superstars was such a success.
Mario Party Superstars takes some of the best boards and minigames from the last Mario party installments and combines them to bring gamers an epic Nintendo Switch game in 2021.
After a number of franchise additions that were just OK, Mario Party Superstars exceeds expectations. He landed an 80 metascore on Metacritic, highlighting how critics appreciated him. And with a User Score of 8.5, it’s safe to say that they weren’t the only ones.

Monster hunter rise received high Metacritic scores from critics and audiences alike, consolidating itself as one of the best Nintendo Switch games of 2021 – and one of the biggest Monster hunter installments to date.
Everything from design to music elevates this game. Many players have found it to successfully combine the popular qualities of the previous chapters with new features that have improved the gameplay. It’s also easy to fall for it, even if you’ve never donated Monster hunter a chance. Like Metroid Dread, gamers will be praising this version for a while.

A number of Pokémon games have arrived on Nintendo Switch in 2021. However, New Pokémon Snap was probably the most exciting. This modern take on the popular 1999 game has sparked feelings of nostalgia among longtime fans of the franchise. And after taking photos of new and old Pokémon, it’s not hard to see why.
Improved graphics, more Pokémon and new settings make this version updated Pokémon Snap even more fun than the original – and that’s ignoring the DLC content.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl were both solid 2021 releases, but they just didn’t compare to New Pokémon Snap. Same Pokémon UNITE couldn’t outshine him. The game certainly earned its above-average Metascore on Metacritic.

It’s not every year that Nintendo Switch gamers get more than one awesome version of Mario. Corn Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury deserves to be on the list of the best Nintendo Switch games 2021 as much as Mario Party Superstars.
Landing an 89 Metascore on Metacritic, this version will appeal to anyone who loved it World of Super Mario 3D on Nintendo 3DS. It’s fun and lightweight, a great choice for anyone looking for an escape this year or beyond.
