Since its launch in 2020, the PlayStation 5 has been hard to come by as pandemic-related supply chain issues have slowed production. The inventory situation has improved significantly in recent months, with PS5 bundles readily available. However, Sony has raised the price of the PS5 due to inflation, and this has already gone into effect at select retailers.

Fortunately, we spotted a few packs available at the original price before the increase. Today such packages are available from ShopTo, Argos, Currys, EE, Scan, Hughes and Box. PS5 Digital Edition Packs are in stock in the BT Shop for BT customers. The bundles hit their new price at Game, and the console is available for pre-order at Very, but carries the new price.

Because retailers prefer more expensive bundles, standalone consoles are rare and sell out quickly. While the standard PS5 edition is easier to snag, the cheaper digital edition is harder to find.

Everything we know about the Dualsense PS5 edge controller

Announced at Gamescom this year, PlayStation is launching its first high-end gamepad dubbed the dualsense edge. Designed specifically for PlayStation 5, the dualsense edge is similar in philosophy to the elite gamepad Xbox owners are already familiar with.

The gamepad has a range of hardware and software customization options to personalize the gaming experience. This includes triggers and sticks with adjustable sensitivity and dead zones, interchangeable stick caps, and the ability to remap or disable the buttons.

We currently don’t have a confirmed release date for PlayStation’s new hardware, but you can find out everything you need to know about the dualsense edge in our article below.

“The Last of Us Part I” is out today

If you’re wondering what games you can choose from on your new PS5, The Last of Us Part I is now out. It’s a remake (from scratch) of the original 2013 release, but is it worth the £69.99 price tag?

In our review, we said: “The last of us is (and always has been) a masterpiece and First part is arguably the best release yet, but it might not be enough for anyone hoping for a complete reinvention of the formula from the ground up.

“First part adds just enough to justify its remake for the latest hardware, which elevates it to the same level of The Last of Us Part II in smart design choices, flexibility and technical prowess, even though this is still the third time we’ve been on this journey.

“If the original PS3 version of Naughty Dog was the critically acclaimed theatrical release, then First part is the full Criterion 4K remaster with commentary and behind-the-scenes footage.

Argos has very low PS5 stock levels

Argos is another retailer selling the PS5 at the pre-increase price. However, there is not a lot of stock for everyone. Consoles alone are not available from Argos, and the single bundle available can only be picked up at select stores. In our case, the Argos website said the nearest store with stock was almost 100 miles from where we live in London.

If you live near an Argos store with stock, the retailer is offering a £569.99 bundle with the PS5 Disc Edition, Forbidden Horizon Westa second Dualsense controller and a Stealth gaming headset.
