Harry Potter Stars Reunite for Nintendo Switch Sports in New Photo

Two veterans of Harry Potter film franchise recently brought together in an adorable way. Matthew Lewis and Tom Felton, who played Neville Longbottom and Draco Malfoy, respectively, in all seven films, recently joined forces for a Nintendo campaign. The couple united for a “friendly competition” of virtual sports, on the occasion of the release of Nintendo Switch Sports. From a video posted on Lewis’ Instagram, which you can check out below, it looks like Felton won the match.

Felton and Lewis have been among the Harry Potter cast to reunite over the years, each of them speaking rather candidly about the long-running impact of the film franchise.

“Yeah, I’m infinitely proud and loving of young Draco, so any chance to reprise that role would be awesome,” Felton told the Daily Mail. “I think we should come back and do the opposite, Rupert [Grint] should play Draco, I’ll play Hermione, Dan can play Dobby, and Emma can be Hagrid, it’s the perfect redesign! It will be an interesting rotation [on it]. But, seriously, if there was another chance to be in another movie, I’m sure we’d all jump at the chance to be a part of it.”

And with the idea of reboots and revivals becoming more prevalent in pop culture, Felton and Longbottom addressed the possibility of new installments.

“I don’t think Jo [Rowling] would like their movies, books rather and films, to be remade anytime soon, but I’m sure in 20 years when they have 4D cinemas, scratch and sniff, or whatever, then they’ll want to do everything start over,” Felton explained in the same interview. “Hopefully when they do, I’ll be old enough to play Lucius. Give it another 15 years and I’ll be back playing Lucius. I would do it in a heartbeat.”

“I think it would have actually served very well as a television series. In the current era, maybe not when it came out, but in the world of game of thrones and what HBO was doing, BBC America, all that kind of stuff – I think that would have translated very well,” Lewis previously told FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention. “As we will probably see with the the Lord of the Rings stuff on Amazon. There’s so much richness in the story, in the universe, it would have been nice to see a lot more of the wizarding world itself.”
