card fight!! Vanguard Dear Days gets a release date

The next card fight!! Avant-garde The video game has finally set its release date, with the game set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC on November 17, 2022.

The video game, card fight!! Dear Vanguard Days, is based on the anime and the incredibly popular collectible card game, and will be released for Japanese and English players on both platforms. The game will focus on protagonist Yuki Ichidoji, a second-year high school student at Omi Academy who finds herself embroiled in Avant-gardea collectible card game set on another planet.

The story is said to be based on the world of card fight!! Vanguard Tracksuit anime series, which premiered in 2021 and acted as the fourth main series of the anime series. The series has run for two seasons so far, with a third and fourth currently in production.

As far as games go, this is the latest in a long line of releases based on the successful property. Before that, a handful of Nintendo 3DS games were released, the latest being the 2019 mobile title card fight!! Vanguard ZERO.

“Taking the world by storm, the card game Vanguard Cardfight influenced many people to incorporate card games into their daily lives,” reads the anime’s official synopsis. “Players of the popular game are called ‘cardfighters’, and they frequently compete in card shops. The game has inspired many people, including the quiet and shy Aichi Sendou, who is often ridiculed and bullied by his peers. Whenever he feels down, he glances at Blaster Blade – a legendary rare card given to him when he was young – and gains the motivation to move on with his life.
